We are recruiting patients and carers to serve on a Patient Participation Group (PPG) to help us ensure that the experience and views of our patients inform the future decisions about our service, including what new services might be provided and new ways of working. We will be surveying our patients and developing other ways of getting feedback. We want this to have a big impact on our decisions.
Our patients meet once every two months in the surgery usually a week day in the evening from 6-8pm. We have a small group of regular patients who attend these meetings and more who are on a mailing list.
If you would like to contribute as a member of the PPG please enquire at reception for the welcome pack or download an Expression of Interest form and a copy of the Terms of Reference, links below, and pop them into reception. Alternately if you have any questions you can email our PPG directly on bartonhills.ppg@nhs.net. You do not need to become a member to put forward your ideas or enquiries. There is no pressure to attend every meeting and you are also able to email any ideas to us if you are a PPG member. You can be a virtual PPG member if preferred and we can email minutes of our meetings to you and welcome your ideas on improvement or change. Selected applicants will be invited to discuss the role before making a decision to get involved and before the group is finalised.
Please feel free to contact the Chair Phil Turner with any positive comments or suggestions/ideas about how the group could help particular groups of patients such as Carers, Frail elderly, patients with long term health conditions etc or any other ideas they may have.
Minutes of these meetings can be found on our website.
We do hope you will want to make a difference and support us in this important work.
